With Virtus.pro on a short break and therefore no competitive Techies to worry about, EHOME are here to bring the unpredictable, the mind games, and to keep the Dota 2 fans entertained with a Techies master of their own.
Zhao “XinQ” Zixing has found in Techies the perfect tools to match his aggressive playstyle and when EHOME is given the opportunity to draft the suicide squad, they are not hesitant. The DPL-CDA Professional League Season 2 playoffs debut of EHOME from today showed exactly that, against one of the strongest teams in the Chinese region.
PSG.LGD were aware of XinQ’s newest toy and banned the Techies in the first drafting phase of game one, but unfortunately, it wasn’t enough for them to start the semifinals series on the right foot. They revealed a bit too much of their game plan intentions with an early Queen of Pain pick followed by Spectre which gave EHOME the time to counter the potential early team fights with a support Treant Protector while building their own draft towards an easy objective game with a mid lane Nature’s Prophet and a safe lane Lone Druid. Despite Lu “Somnus” Yao’s great efforts to keep PSG.LGD in the lead during the laning stage and despite the fact that he alone was owning the entire map with his successful rotations, the pressure applied on the building s by EHOME was too much and prevented Yang “Chalice“‘ Sheny to develop his Spectre fast enough to be able to stand against EHOME.
Headed into the second game, PSG.LGD targeted their first bans towards Treant, Lone Druid and all Liu “Sylar” Jiajun’s big heroes and forgot about the Techies. They got punished for it as EHOME picked them for XinQ, who was an absolute nuisance for PSG.LGD. The two teams went dead even for the first 15 minutes, every engagement ending up with a fair kill trade.
However, PSG.LGD found eventually a better trade and opened the possibility of taking an uncontested Roshan kill to put them in a superior position, but even so, the high ground assault proved to be impossible to achieve against the Techies. After a couple of lost team fights in front of EHOME’s mid lane tier three tower, PSG.LGD found themselves having to defend their own base and losing the battle, thus being sent to the lower bracket.
While EHOME join Vici Gaming and Team Aster in the top four, upper bracket finals of DPL-CDA Professional League Season 2, PSG.LGD will play for their tournament life later today in the lower bracket against the loser of CDEC Gaming versus Royal Never Give Up, so stay tuned!
