Envy Gaming today will announce a multiyear renewal with sponsor Jack in the Box, extending the deal that serves as one of the gaming organization’s most visible corporate partnerships.
Terms were not revealed for the extension, but Jack in the Box will continue to serve as the official QSR of Envy and have jersey branding on the Dallas Fuel and Dallas Empire teams in the Overwatch League and Call of Duty League.
The QSR will also now get associate sponsorship of Envy teams competing in VALORANT, Super Smash Bros., Rocket League, Halo, and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, including the team competing in the Flashpoint series.
Jack in the Box has been with Envy since 2017 and it secured the first jersey rights deal in Overwatch League history that year and also won a 2020 Webby Award for its “Fuel House” digital animation series about the Dallas Fuel.
Jack in the Box Senior VP and Chief Brand & Experience Officer Adrienne Ingoldt said: “When we first partnered with Envy Gaming in 2017, our main goal was to authentically connect with gaming culture in ways no other restaurant had. We dove head-first into the partnership, making it a pillar of our digital and social efforts. Now, three years later, we see Envy Gaming as a long-standing partner that we love to work with. Their team has helped us identify unique, real, and brand-relevant ways to connect with the gaming community, while breaking through the clutter.”
Meanwhile, Envy CEO Adam Rymer added: “Jack in the Box has been a fantastic partner for three years. They deserve a lot of credit for being an early adopter to gaming and creating unique ways to connect with millennials and Gen Z. We’re excited about what the next few years will mean as we expand our partnership and push esports and gaming more into entertainment and culture.”
