Popular rapper Logic signs exclusive 7-figure deal with Twitch following retirement

Logic, a popular rapper in the music industry, has signed an exclusive deal to stream on Amazon-owned broadcast platform, Twitch. This announcement comes mere days after the 30-year-old revealed that he would be retiring from music.

Logic, whose real name is Sir Robert Bryson Hall II announced his plans to step away from music after the release of his latest project ‘No Pressure’ on July 24. While he stated part of his reason for retirement was to give himself “time to be a great father,” that doesn’t mean a life outside of the spotlight.

During an interview with The Verge, the soon to be fully retired rapper dropped the bombshell that he would be streaming on Twitch exclusively with a massive contract having been inked. Logic doesn’t provide the exact digits but reveals that the contract is 7 digits meaning at the very least he’s earned a $1 million deal to stream on the platform and rest assured it’s probably more than that.

Why is he leaving music though? Why is he choosing to move to livestreaming games?

“I’m not this rapper guy, man,” he said in the interview. “I’m just a nerd. I love video games. I’m blessed enough to have millions of fans and followers. So it is a great partnership.”

In addition, this isn’t his first foray into it. He’s been active on the platform “since 2015 or 2016” he said. He’ll be making a deeper plunge on Tuesday, July 21st, as he gives fans a sneak peak of his final LP on his new platform.
