Torsten Haux Exits ESL to Join BIRKENSTOCK

Torsten Haux has left ESL to join shoe brand BIRKENSTOCK in the newly created role of head of content. Haux served as the vice president of global media rights for the Modern Times Group-owned tournament organizer for four years.

In his new role Haux will be responsible for “cross-channel and cross-format storytelling for all aspects of the BIRKENSTOCK brand.” It is unclear who will take over the position Haux has vacated at ESL.

Earlier Monday ESL announced several other changes to key personnel including the appointment of Craig Levine as Co-CEO, succeeding David Neichel who will focus on more big picture issues such as regional business development, long-term development, and investment. ESL also revealed that Stefan Beitz was recently appointed CFO replacing Arne Anders, who decided to leave the company for other opportunities.
