Crossplay And Cross-Progression Are Coming To Rainbow Six Siege

Ubisoft has confirmed that crossplay and cross-progression are coming to Rainbow Six Siege this year for PC, Stadia and Luna, and in early 2022 for PlayStation and Xbox.

The update came as part of Ubisoft Forward, where Ubisoft announced some of the upcoming quality of life changes coming to Rainbow Six Siege. In this section of the showcase, they confirmed that crossplay and cross-progression are being added to the game.

Crossplay and cross-progression will be coming to PC, Stadia and Luna on June 30. Crosspaly will be available between PlayStation and Xbox in early 2022, whilst Cross-progression will be available across all platforms.

From this announcement, it seems that PlayStation and Xbox will only be able to cross-play with each other and not with PC, although cross-progression will be available across all platforms. That means you can take your account and profile across different platforms, but you won’t be able to play every single platform in matches.

This wasn’t the only Rainbow Six announcement that Ubisoft made during the presentation. It also announced a new operator is coming to the game, North Star, and showed off a brand new story trailer for them. It also confirmed a release date for Rainbow Six Extraction and showed off the first gameplay for the game. Ubisoft also confirmed a release date for Rider’s Republic after revealing a deep dive into the mechanics for the game.
