Cyberpunk 2077 Bug Lets You Permanently Travel With Quest Companions

Cyberpunk 2077 is full of annoying bugs, but this one is a bit different – in fact, you might want to go out of your way to encounter it. That’s because it lets you bring your current quest companion anywhere you’d like throughout Night City.

The bug was brought to light on Reddit, where a user posted a glorious picture of themselves strolling through the streets of Night City with both Judy and Panam by their side. Taking advantage of the bug seems pretty straightforward, too – just leave in the middle of a mission. Anyone following you will continue to do so, letting you form a venerable posse as play through Cyberpunk 2077.

It’s likely the issue will be patched out in a future update, but as far as I’m concerned it should be the least of CD Projekt Red’s concerns. There are much more gamebreaking bugs than this one, and it seems most fans are actually having a fun time with this little discovery. No doubt some of the side characters in Cyberpunk 2077 are among the best we’ve seen in 2020, and it’s great to let them tag along while exploring Night City.

Despite all the refunds, Cyberpunk 2077 seems to be doing pretty well in the sales department. CD Projekt Red announced over 13 million copies have already been sold – even when you take into account most of the returns. That’s an impressive number, although we can only imagine how much higher it would be if things ran properly on consoles.
