Humankind Cultures Of Latin America DLC Out Now, Console Release Date Revealed

Humankind developer Amplitude Studios has announced its Cultures of Latin America DLC during this year's Summer Game Fest, as well as the news that the game will be coming to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X on November 4, with a day one launch on Xbox Game Pass.

Better yet, the DLC is out now and available to purchase for those that already own the game. Cultures of Latin America will give players six new Cultures to use in game which are the Caralans, Nazca, Táino, Inca, Argentinians, and Cubans, and six new Wonders to claim and build. The DLC will also introduce nine new Independent Peoples, 15 more narrative events, and 30 brand new pieces of in-game music by composer Arnaud Roy. Cultures of Latin America is now available to purchase on both Steam and the Epic Games Store.

Alongside the announcement of the new DLC, Amplitude Studios has also announced the game will be coming to consoles for the first time. The game's port is being handled by Aspyr, which you may recognise as the developer behind the Star Wars: Force Unleashed and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Switch ports. Humankind is now available to pre-order on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.

The final announcement that Amplitude Studios had to make was a free major update for all current owners of Humankind that will introduce several community-requested features. Once you download the update – which is available right now – players should notice a reworked surrender system, rebalanced war support modifiers, infrastructure yield previews, and unique wonder effects among many other changes.

In case you haven't heard of Humankind, the game is essentially a turn-based strategy game in which you can rewrite human history by mixing up different cultures to create your own. You'll guide your unique civilization through different periods in history and engage in tense battles as you look to stamp your mark on the world. The game is currently available to purchase on both Steam and the Epic Game Store.
