Last of Us 2 safe codes are key to getting plenty of essential gear to help you on your adventure, but if you’re having trouble there’s a little trick you can turn to. As is often the case in survival horror games, supplies such as ammo and health items are crucial – and scarce – and the Last of Us 2 is no exception to this rule. And that’s where Last of Us 2 safes come into play, with these locked vaults offering precious ammo and other items that will be critical to Ellie on her journey.
The combinations needed to crack the Last of Us 2 safes tend to be found on Artefacts that are located nearby.
But you don’t need to find these Artefacts to open the safes, you just need the combination – and there’s a handy trick you can turn to figure out these safe codes.
To get any safe combination in the Last of Us 2 you can channel your inner safe code cracker by listening carefully when Ellie spins the safe dial for audio cues.
When Ellie is moving the safe dial you will hear clicking noises as the internal mechanism goes to work.
