It seems that some Xbox Series X games will have options to optimise for either frame rate or graphics, much like Demon’s Souls on PS5.
When Microsoft announced that the Xbox Series X would not have any exclusive games for at least the first year everyone wondered how they were going to properly show off the power of the console.
The answer to that is meant to be the ‘Optimized for Xbox Series X’ concept, a label that will be applied only to games that are built with Xbox Series X in mind, such as Halo Infinite, or specifically updated to take advantage of the console’s power, like Gears 5.
Exactly what will be enhanced will be different for each game but in a new blog post Microsoft mention more dynamic environments, DirectX ray-tracing, 3D acoustics, and faster loading.
