Pokemon TCG Live Closed Beta Expands To France, Germany, And Italy This Week

Pokemon TCG Live has announced that it is expanding its closed beta to several more countires for the second time later this week, becoming available to players in select European countries for the first time. The game will be available to download on the Apple App Store, Google Play, or their desktops in France, Italy, and Germany at some point this week, although a specific date wasn't revealed.

For those hearing about Pokemon TCG LIve for the first time, the game is essentially a digital version of the TCG that we all know and love. As previously mentioned, it's in closed beta at the moment, but it is free to play on both PC as well as iOS and Android.

It's been a big year for Pokemon fans so far and that shows no signs of slowing down any time soon. I doubt you need reminding, but Pokemon Scarlet & Violet are still expected to launch on November 18 later this year, and we got another good look at the titles in a recent trailer released by Nintendo. In it, we saw a bunch of new Pokemon, the introduction of its villainous faction Team Star, and a better idea of one of the game's three separate stories.

It's also looking like a pretty good year for Pokemon in 2023 as well, as Nintendo announced in its latest Direct that both Pokemon Stadium and Pokemon Stadium 2 will be added to its collection of available N64 titles at some point in 2023. However, as many likely expected, these versions of Pokemon Stadium will not support transfers, so you'll have to play without your tries and tested 'mons.
