Two New Games From Annapurna Interactive Are Coming To Switch In 2021

Annapurna Interactive, the critically acclaimed publisher behind hit titles such as What Remains of Edith Finch and Outer Wilds, is releasing two new games on Nintendo Switch later this year.

The games in question are called Last Stop and Hindsight, both of which were revealed during Nintendo’s indie showcase that aired yesterday. Whilst Last Stop had already been revealed a couple of years ago – and was even recently delayed – Hindsight is a brand new game from developer Joel McDonald which has you experiencing the entirety of a single woman’s life through physical objects. Kind of like What Remains of Edith Finch, but with a lot less tragic death.

Annapurna Interactive’s website describes Hindsight as a “narrative exploration game” that has you searching through this mysterious woman’s personal belongings in her childhood home. Each item will allow the player to visit past memories and unseen futures, all with the goal of trying to make sense of everything. Hindsight doesn’t have a release date just yet but is scheduled to release later this year for Nintendo Switch.

The second game revealed during the showcase was Last Stop which had already been announced for PC, PS4, and Xbox One in 2019. However, it’s now been revealed that Last Stop will also be coming to Nintendo Switch as well, releasing at some point in July later this year.

For those that don’t know what the game is, Last Stop is a single-player, third-person adventure game developed by Variable State, the same developer behind Virginia. Set in modern London, the story takes place around three vastly different yet interconnected individuals – Donna, John, and Meena – whose lives have been drastically altered by a mysterious magical force. The player will be able to make choices to determine the outcomes of each character’s story.

Both Hindsight and Last Stop are being published by Annapurna Interactive, a publisher that rarely puts a foot wrong. Annapurna has an incredible track record when it comes to sniffing out interesting and unique indie projects, so Hindsight and Last Stop are definitely two games to keep on your radar for the future.
