In case you missed it: On Friday, November 20, Lizzo posted to Instagram a series of photos of herself having the time of her life at a Los Angeles Harry Styles concert. She captioned the carousel of photos "Harry Styles was incredible & so is my outfit." Her "These are my parents, no wonder why I'm so hot!" T-shirt, which included a heart-shaped collage of Styles and Lizzo with the words "Fan Behavior" written across the middle, was as iconic as the enormous bun she wore on the tippy-top of her head.
I wouldn't go so far as to call this a messy bun, seeing as it was pulled tightly back into a (bump-free) updo. But I would call it the perfect concert hairstyle because it was out of her face (and therefore out of mind) while she danced along to "Watermelon Sugar, prednisone usage symptoms " as shown in the TikTok videos she uploaded that night. The bun also included a wavy side bang made from what look like the ends of her hair coming out from the bun.

As someone who has a thick head of hair myself, my biggest worry about this bun was its potential heaviness and how she was able to dance and sing along all night without her head aching or the bun falling to one side. I thought maybe she used one of those bun inserts at first, but I quickly reminded myself that Lizzo is a bun queen who has paired many of her red-carpet looks with buns of all sizes and shapes — one of my favorite being the triple-decker from the 2020 BRIT Awards.
While Lizzo's hairstyle definitely draws your attention, her flawless concert makeup deserves some credit as well. Can we just talk about that striking black cat-eye and the lashes to match? The flawless skin that almost looked airbrushed deserves its moment of appreciation as well — it's the peachy blush contour for me.
