Fortnite’s first ever in-game movie party is kicking off this Friday with Inception, and anyone who wants to can join in — at least in the United States, other countries will either be seeing Batman Begins or The Prestige.
Attending Fortnite’s Movie Nite party couldn’t be simpler. All you have to do is log into Fortnite, then start a Party Royale match sometime shortly before the movie starts at 8 p.m. ET on Friday, June 26. Once you’re in the match, just head to the western side of the island to the location called The Big Screen, get comfortable, and wait for the movie to begin.
If you’d like your screen to be a little more clear, you can open the settings menu and turn off all the of the game’s HUD elements. To do this, just open the options menu under the Game UI section and simply toggle every option “off.”

Just like Fortnite’s other live events, the movie will be a shared experience that’s happening at the same time for every player in the region. This means if you miss the beginning there will be no going back, you’ll just jump into the movie at the point you log in for.

The good news, at least for Inception fans in the United States, is that there will be a second showing of the movie starting at 11:55 p.m. EDT the same night. If you can’t make it to either showing, you also have the option of tuning in online via any of the dozens of streams that will likely be watching along on Friday night when the movie begins. If you don’t live in the United States, you’ll likely have a different starting time for you movie, but the location and game mode should all be the same, no matter where you are.
